Exit Device Types: Rim, Vertical Rod and Mortise

Allegion lists rim, mortise, surface vertical rod and concealed vertical rod as touch-bar exit-device applications. Touch-bar devices are mounted on the exit side of the door.

Von Duprin documentation gives these model examples: 98/99 rim, 9827/9927 surface vertical rod, 9875/9975 mortise, and 9847/9947 concealed vertical rod. These examples identify types; they do not establish that one device will replace another.

Allegion identifies the 33A/35A series for narrow-stile applications. Use the complete manufacturer model number and opening details when matching a part.
